This 30-hour combined on-line and classroom training developed by the Addiction Technology Transfer Center, will meet the thirty (30) hour Clinical Supervision training requirement for the Advanced Counselor and Master Counselor status in the OASAS Scope of Practice Functions. This training recognizes the crucial role that Clinical Supervision holds as the cornerstone of performance improvement at both the program and client level.
The instructional design consists of completion of a 14 hour clinical supervision course: http://healtheknowledge.org/course/index.php?categoryid=56 & 16 hours classroom training. This training meets the established OASAS standards for Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC renewal), Credentialed Prevention Professional/Credentialed Prevention Specialist (CPP/CPS initial section 3 and renewal) and Social Work CEU hours (SW CEUs Part I ONLY for this offered training).
Who should attend?
Active Clinical Supervisors in an OASAS Licensed program or those who are on an employment track for this as verified by their Clinical Supervisors. For those seeking upgraded status to their CASAC Credential in accordance with the updated OASAS scope of practices, there will be another training rolling out in the Fall of 2024 that will allow those not in a supervisor role/track to obtain the renewal CEUs for this upgrade.
